Me too, H2 servers are a bit boring in my eyes, what is it? Halo1 has about Double the amount
of regular players than Halo2.

I'm aware but i still like the game, just wanted to see if anyone on here has it.... seems like your all against it.

I have it. BUT, the last time I tried to play it, it was lagging so badly in campaign that it wasn't worth playing. Took like 5 minutes just to walk across the room.

Then Vista became a drag to use here on my laptop. SO, I reverted back to XP Much better now. I havent tried to play Halo 2 again yet

has anyone tried the hax to play H2 on XP? there are retail versions of this but i haven't heard if they work or not.

yea, my bro dled a ripped xbox version of Halo 2, that was cracked to play on xp, it worked just fine on his computer, which he runs xp on, and i played through a good part of the campaign, which was intensely awesome, but when i tried it on my laptop which runs vista 32-bit, it barely made it past the menu after like 5 minutes, and when i finally loaded the campaign, i could barely make the darned thing move, so UNINSTALLED it went

but anywyas, the campaign is great, and if i ever get an actually vista copy, im gonna be on that like an elephant with peanuts.. lol

I heard of some program somewhere to play halo 2 on XP. I think some one had made a posting of it in the «FC» forums way back when Halo 2 first came out. I haven't triedit yet. I'll have to look into it sometime

There is but it's incredibly glitch, tons of flaws since it was basically cracked apon first release.

Well - Since both my computers are to slow to keep up and play H2V and COD - I just picked up an XBOX 360 along with Halo 2 and 3. Got it this last Sunday. Wish I woulda goot it Friday I could have gotten a few games on sale which ended Saturday I haven't really had too much time to play on it since, Work keeps getting in the way.

Now, I have H2V disc and Vista upgrade disc Collecting dust. And NOT installed on any of my computers

Halo 2 needs a good processor, Memory and a good graphics card to play it without lag.
I have a Phenom 9850 running at 2.9ghz, 4gb Corsair High Performance Ram,
two ATI DDR3 HD4850's running in Crossfire and Windows 7 64 bit and the game still lags
on the load screen, I have all settings on High and it is pretty smooth but still
lags in some parts of the campaign.

The crack to play it on XP has glitches but it is playable, you still cannot play online multiplayer.

I am up for a game Frawsty, just gotta be online at the same time (which will be hard),

What did you buy an xbox for Scoot? You should have put that money into upgrading your PC

I know - lame huh? $180 for xbox with 20 gig hard drive and one controller and a free game. I probably would have spent roughly 3 times that to upgrade my desktop or on a decent laptop. I have been vaguely looking at new laptops. BUT, have been routing my funds else where (motor swap and parts for my car). So, getting a new laptop or any upgrade parts for desktop are a long way off.
